WHICH GROW LIGHT IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Grow lights are an expensive item in the indoor garden, so it’s important to choose the right one for your requirements.
Start by measuring the square footage of your garden area then consider the plants that will be grown.
Different plants have different light requirements. Normally, taller plants will require more light in order to reach the lowers sections. Plants that have large flowers or fruits typically require more light than those which do not.

WHAT TYPE OF GROW LIGHT SHOULD I USE?
Full Spectrum Fluorescents are ideal for starting seeds or cuttings or for low light plants. They are the most energy efficient grow lights available.
Although more efficient than incandescent lights, fluorescents are still much less efficient than High Intensity Discharge (HID) light systems. Larger wattage systems will cover larger areas, and since these bulbs produce greater light intensity they are superior for growing taller plants.
Metal Halide (MH) and High Pressure Sodium (HPS) are the most common HID grow lights. MH bulbs emit a blue-white spectrum, which is more conductive for vegetative growth or starting seeds and clones. HPS bulbs are red-orange in the spectrum, which is ideal for the fruiting and flowering stage of a plant’s development.

T5 high output lamps have extremely high lumen per watt rating: 5000 lumens per lamp.
Lamps have very low heat factor which allows the fixture to be hung very close to plant canopy, thus raising light levels.
The TEK-LIGHT and NEW WAVE fixtures are made of German 95% reflective aluminum. Light output is 300 percent higher in this reflector vs. a lamp with no reflector. Fixtures are low profile, sleek and light to hang. Solid state electronic ballasts (no copper windings) do not emit heat, noise or vibration. Unique design places ballasts outside lamps (instead of above lamps as in competitive fixtures) for longer fixture life.
These high output fluorescent grow light fixtures come with your choice of lamps: A 6500 degree Kelvin cool lamp (promotes plant growth) or a 3000 degree Kelvin warm lamp (promotes flowering/budding in plants).
